Multi-Power is a good transmission but the operator must know how to use it. First of all you cannot tow a MP tractor to start it.

I'd value a tidy 165 multipower with the square axle, a sirocco flexi cab and a good set of wheels at 8-10k, now that's top of the range Tidy done up or a good original example. For the same tractor with a round axle I'd say 7-8k, just because of demand.

In low, runs through a planetary gear drive that has a ratchet on it, giving you not quite half a gear slower, and then you have no engine braking. #1 · Apr 15, 2020 I just got a Massey Ferguson 165. I think it has multipower. On the bottom left side of the dash is a lever and the previous owner wired in at the lowest spot. I have never used Multipower before but the motor does not slow the tractor down. Does anyone know if it is risky to unwire this after many years.
